SCOTTY SIMONSON
"MENtal health is just as important as any other type of physical or nutritional health for both athletes and people alike. You wouldn’t try to perform at a high level if your muscle was pulled or you were sick to your stomach so why do it when it comes to your thoughts? Staying in a positive mindset has not only helped me to reach the levels I once dreamed about, but it’s also helped me push my body and mind to places that made those achievements possible. Like any other skill or muscle, mental health needs to be constantly worked on and crafted so you can put your mindset in the best possible position to be an ally to you instead of another obstacle you need to overcome. As athletes we have enough against us already, whether it’s an opponent or a playbook or a scheme or a coach, that we can’t allow ourselves to beat ourself. That’s where a strong mental self outlook can really set you apart."
