CONNOR WOOD
"Whether it was my community, my family, or myself, I always felt pressure to be great. It made me feel one dimensional and that I had no value outside of being a football player. Because of this, I struggled to even play the game I loved. I was anxious about messing up or missing a kick to the point where I didn’t have fun playing the game I loved anymore. I had to take a step back and look at myself in the mirror. After opening up and telling my Dad what was going on, he helped me learn that I was more than my performance on the field, and while I wanted to be great, there was more value to my life than what I provided on the football field. After that, I wasn’t scared to mess up anymore and I found that love for the game again. Now I’m playing college football and enjoying every second of it."
