"With the last couple of years being quite traumatic with my fathers malignancy on top of the pressures that come with being a collegiate student athlete, I have had influx of emotions. Emotions like anxiety, stress, and feeling down often occur. I finally found someone I could talk to and fortunately he was able to get me headed in the right direction. I know I am not alone, so please speak up because there is no need to “tough” it out.
MENtal health is incredibly important for everyone regardless of gender. If you are struggling please seek someone that may be able to help whether it may be a professional of just a friend. I also have found things like meditation, mindfulness, and yoga have been a huge help. Whatever it may be for you, find importance in your MENtal health as you would your physical health."
